Jeff just learned that an actor in one of our videos passed away unexpectedly this month. Bill Roberson starred in a SELMARQ video for Jacobs Chuck that Jeff directed in 1996. “Bill had recently been in Forrest Gump before we cast him,” Jeff recalled. “He went on to have roles in ‘The Patriot,’ ‘Patch Adams,’ ‘The River is Wide’ and other movie and TV productions.”

In “Speed Zone” the native North Carolinian played a policeman who interrogates a handyman caught speeding through drill bit changes. The video was one of four ProAd gold-award-winners produced that year by SELMARQ. “He was a very friendly and talented man—a pleasure to work with,” Jeff said. “I know he will be greatly missed.”

Roberson was also known internationally for his stained glass design and fabrication. He and his wife Hi produced more than 4,000 windows under the company name Classical Glass out of Columbia, SC.
